RACE cars disappearing off the face of the planet is rare - particularly when it comes to V8 Supercars.

After all, V8 Sleuth has been tracking and documenting them for years and not too many are a mystery to their team.

But this week the V8 Sleuth team has covered the story of a very interesting tale relating to Mark Skaife's 1995 Winfield Racing/Gibson Motorsport Commodore VR, a car that would appear to have completely disappeared!

How, why, what?

It's the focus in V8 Sleuth's latest 'Saturday Sleuthing' story provided to the Official Virgin Australia Supercars Championship website - click here to read all about this Skaife Commodore.

V8 Sleuth has been compiling this very popular series of stories on the Supercars website for the past five years documenting the histories of a wide range of race cars from both the Supercars era but also Australian touring car racing back into the 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s.
