A NEW ARRIVAL AND PROMOTIONS AT V8 SLEUTH HQ

AWARD-WINNING motorsport journalist Stefan Bartholomaeus has joined the V8 Sleuth team as part of a major expansion of the ever-growing motorsport media business interests of its AN1 Media parent company.

Bartholomaeus joins after a near four-year stint as Supercars’ Digital Editor. He was previously editor of Speedcafe from early 2013 to early 2017 having joined the news website full-time in late 2010.

He joins V8 Sleuth and AN1 Media as its new Head of Content – Publications, with a strong focus on expanding the organisation’s print product content and delivery.

He won seven Supercars Media Awards in four years covering 2014 to 2017 and also won the CAMS Motor Sport Journalist and News Story of the Year award in 2015.

Bartholomaeus most recently worked with the V8 Sleuth team and Glenn Seton on the Hall of Famer’s recently released career autobiography.

The arrival of Bartholomaeus also coincides with several promotions of staff at V8 Sleuth HQ.

Will Dale, who joined the V8 Sleuth team in late 2018, has been promoted to Head of Content – Digital and, in addition to continuing his high-level contribution to the organisation’s print titles, will take on a greater role and responsibility in charge of the v8sleuth.com.au digital offerings and content.

Dale is also co-host and producer of the highly successful, weekly V8 Sleuth Podcast, which will continue into 2021.

He joined the V8 Sleuth team after spending seven years at Fox Sports and SPEED with the last four as Fox Sports’ Digital Editorial Lead Motorsport writer.

He won the Best Feature Writer Award at the 2016 Supercars Media Awards.

Shane Rogers, who joined the business full-time in 2019 after some years as a consultant and part-time contractor, has been promoted to Head of Content – Data, spear-heading the company’s motorsport statistics arm.

Rogers built the company’s database that houses material spanning 60 years of motorsport historic results and has continued to refine and grow it ever since.

The AN1 Data arm of the business produces statistical/history content utilised by a wide range of clients including Supercars, Fox Sports, Channel 10, DJR Team Penske, Triple Eight Race Engineering, Walkinshaw Andretti United, Brad Jones Racing and many more.

“Firstly, I’m thrilled to welcome Stefan to our team,” says AN1 Media and V8 Sleuth MD Aaron Noonan.

“His record speaks for itself and he’s held in high regard by our industry and the team here, so to have him join us as we expand into an exciting future is fantastic.

“Stefan’s work on Glenn Seton’s new book was first class, so to grow that relationship to the next step and have him join us on a full-time basis is exciting.

“Will and Shane have played huge roles in the growth and success of the business and their promotions in their respective areas are a reflection of that but also a reward for their work and dedication during a challenging 2020.

“This year has been stressful and difficult for business owners and employees in all areas of industry, particularly where we’re based in Melbourne, but our team haven’t missed a beat all year.”

AN1 Media is a multi-faceted motorsport media and publishing company based in Melbourne specialising in digital content (including the V8 Sleuth website), print publications, statistics, photo archives and much, much more.
