BATHURST 6 HOUR: THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY

THE 2022 Bathurst 6 Hour provided an Easter fix of Mount Panorama drama, as the production car race featured a series of great storylines, unexpected twists and a classic finish.

Young guns Cameron Hill and Tom Sargent were the biggest story of all as they scored pole, were relegated to last due to a technical infringement, and then stormed through to win.

But was their BMW M2 too fast and should Balance of Performance measures be applied for next year? Or is that against the spirit of production car racing?

And why did so many favoured cars fall out of contention in the early stages, or in the case of the Marcos Ambrose Mustang, fail to even make the event?

These hot topics headline this week’s Castrol Motorsport News Podcast, which also looks at the weekend’s TCR action, Supercars’ burning COVID question, Oscar Piastri’s future and more.
