THE 2021 Repco Bathurst 1000 has been run and won and decided in favour of Walkinshaw Andretti United and drivers Chaz Mostert and Lee Holdsworth.

AS IT HAPPENED: How the 2021 Repco Bathurst 1000 unfolded

WINNERS – CHAZ MOSTERT / LEE HOLDSWORTH

Chaz Mostert takes his 2nd Bathurst 1000 win and first in a Holden.

Lee Holdsworth becomes the 63rd driver in Bathurst 500/1000 history to win the race.

Holdsworth wins in his 18th Bathurst 1000 start.

It’s his first Supercar race win since Winton 2014.

It’s WAU’s first Bathurst 1000 win since 2011 (when it was known as Holden Racing Team).

The team’s 8th Bathurst 1000 win.

Holden wins its 35th Bathurst ‘Great Race’.

Chaz is first driver to take pole, win race and set fastest lap in the Bathurst 1000 since Rickard Rydell in the TWR Volvo in 1998 in the two-litre Super Touring AMP Bathurst 1000.

He’s just the fourth driver to do it in race history after Rydell (1998), Peter Brock (1979) and Bruce McPhee (1968).

It’s the first Bathurst 1000 win for car #25 since Tony Longhurst and Tomas Mezera won in 1988.

2nd PLACE – CAMERON WATERS / JAMES MOFFAT
2nd Bathurst 1000 podium for both drivers.
Equal best Bathurst 1000 finish – Waters finished 2nd in 2020, Moffat 2nd in 2014.
The team’s 8th Bathurst 1000 podium finish.

3rd PLACE – BRODIE KOSTECKI / DAVID RUSSELL
First Bathurst 1000 podium finish for both drivers.
Erebus Motorsport’s 2nd Bathurst 1000 podium finish.

5th PLACE – BRYCE FULLWOOD / WARREN LUFF
Fullwood’s best Bathurst 1000 finish.
First time team has had two cars finish the Bathurst 1000 in the top 5 since 2002.
Luff’s 8th top 5 Bathurst 1000 finish.

7th PLACE – JAMES COURTNEY / THOMAS RANDLE
Randle’s best Bathurst 1000 finish.

8th PLACE – TODD HAZELWOOD / DEAN FIORE
Hazelwood’s best Bathurst 1000 finish.

9th PLACE – TIM SLADE / TIM BLANCHARD
Blanchard’s best Bathurst 1000 finish and first time in the top 10.

10th PLACE – WILL DAVISON / ALEX DAVISON
Alex’s 17th straight Bathurst 1000 finish from 17 starts, no other driver in history has done this.

13th PLACE – JAKE KOSTECKI / KURT KOSTECKI
First Bathurst 1000 finish for both drivers.

DNF – ANTON DE PASQUALE / TONY D’ALBERTO
D’Alberto’s first Bathurst 1000 DNF since 2014.

DNF – SCOTT PYE / JAMES GOLDING
Pye’s 4th Bathurst 1000 DNF and first since 2015.
Golding’s 2nd Bathurst 1000 DNF and first since 2016.
