Campbell named in Manthey EMA squad for Bathurst

MATT Campbell will join fellow Porsche factory drivers Mathieu Jaminet and Thomas Preining in representing Manthey EMA at the Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

The trio will steer a 911 GT3 R at the February 3-5 event, the only Porsche entry in the outright Pro class.

Campbell has taken top four results in each of his past four Bathurst 12 Hour starts, including winning the 2019 edition for Earl Bamber Motorsport alongside Dennis Olsen and Dirk Werner.

Campbell clinched pole position the following year for Absolute Racing in what his most recent attempt at the event.

He has continued to chalk up the Mount Panorama miles with Bathurst 1000 co-drives the past two years.

The Australian has forged a strong combination with Jaminet, including a class victory at the 2022 24 Hours of Daytona.

All three of Campbell, Jaminet and Preining have won Porsche Carrera Cup titles, in Australia, France and Germany respectively.

Eight cars have been entered in the Pro class, with many of those driver line-ups still to be revealed, and 28 in total.
