Ex-ARG chief’s new role revealed

FORMER Australian Racing Group chief operating officer Liam Curkpatrick is now a part of the South Australian Motorsport Board.

Curkpatrick’s departure from ARG after four-plus years was announced last month as he sought to spend more time with his young family.

Now, it can be revealed he remains involved in the motorsport scene.

Supplementary regulations for the upcoming VAILO Adelaide 500 list Curkpatrick as motorsport manager for the South Australian Motorsport Board.

The SAMB promotes and organises the Adelaide 500.

Curkpatrick is the latest high-profile appointment to the board, following ex-Formula 1 race director-turned-Supercars Commission chair Michael Masi, as well as CEO Mark Warren and chairman Andrew Daniels.

The 2023 Adelaide 500 will be held across November 23-26, with seven of Australia’s top categories leading the on-track action and British megastar Robbie Williams headlining the concert line-up.
