Ex-Courtney Mustang for Super3 champion

TICKFORD Racing has unveiled the car in which promising recruit Brad Vaughan will tackle the 2023 Dunlop Super2 Series.

Vaughan will drive TR 2025, the Ford Mustang driven to two podiums last year by James Courtney, with naming rights sponsorship from Dormer HVAC Services.

The 18-year-old enters the season on the back of winning the Super3 crown last year with Anderson Motorsport.

Among Vaughan’s various other backers is James Rosenberg, who has been a long-time supporter of South Australian motorsport talent.

“I’m so excited to unveil the colours on our #5 Ford Mustang for the start of my Dunlop Super2 Series career,” said Vaughan.

“The car looks incredible and I’m extremely happy to have Dormer HVAC Services on board as the naming rights partner on my car for my Super2 debut.

“I’ve been fortunate to have a heap of supporters willing to be part of the journey of my first year in Super2 which is fantastic, and makes me even more excited for the year ahead.

“It’s going to be a massive year and I have a lot to learn, but I’m really looking forward to getting after it and seeing how we go.

“Now that the livery’s out and the car’s ready I just can’t wait to get behind the wheel and get the season going!”

Vaughan will have Elly Morrow as his teammate, with the former Brad Jones Racing driver to steer FPR 1519.

That chassis has quite the history, powering Chaz Mostert and Jack Le Brocq to main game race wins, and more recently being notable as the car in which Zak Best became the youngest pole-sitter in Repco Supercars Championship history.
