Holden Commodore VY Future Tourer

Commodore Future Tourer race car, built as VX, now in VY specification

Built by Steve Williams and Peter Muir of Bond Roll Bars, competed in both Bathurst 24 Hour races in 2002 and 2003

Harrop Engineering suspension and brakes

Neil Burns built two motors from new Holden Motor Sport blocks, these are included with the car, 1 is enduro spec, 1 a fresh sprint spec engine

2 Modena Super T10 gearboxes

Car ran in 2002 Bathurst 24 Hour in top 10 and first in class before tailshaft failure, finishing 3rd in Class

In 2003 Bathurst 24 Hour car won its class, becoming the last Holden-engined Commodore to win its class in a major Bathurst enduro – also finished 10th outright

Ran in the PROCAR Series in Future Touring, then parked up and raced by Jake Williams in Sports Sedans support races at Bathurst for 3 years and NSW Sports Sedans

Car last raced in 2013 at Bathurst and since then has been on hoist in workshop until now as prepared by Steve Williams and Mick Caruso
