This was the track schedule for Thursday (all times AEDT):
9:30am – Practice 1 (60 min)
12:45pm – Practice 2 (60 min, co-drivers only)
4:00pm – Practice 3 (60 min)
The #6 Tickford Racing Ford Mustang ended the day on top after a scintillating lap from Cameron Waters in Practice 3, only just missing dipping into the ‘threes’ with a 2m04.1696s – before running out of fuel on the run up Mountain Straight as the session came to a close!
Scott McLaughlin and Shane van Gisbergen were next best, both around 0.3s shy of Waters’ best, with Kelly Racing’s Andre Heimgartner and Brad Jones Racing’s Nick Percat rounding out the top five.
