MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM V8 SLEUTH

ON BEHALF of the whole team at V8 Sleuth, I’d like to take a moment to say Merry Christmas and thank you for your support throughout 2020.

Usually, a time certain finish doesn’t excite Supercars fans, but there’s not too many of us unhappy about the chequered flag coming down on the year.

Like nearly all Australian small businesses, we’ve had some incredible challenges to overcome in 2020.

It’s thanks to your support that we have not only survived but expanded during this unique time, with record numbers on our website, social media and podcast.

For those who have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, we hope our content has been a welcome distraction and there’s a better 2021 ahead.

With any luck, your Christmas will include unwrapping a V8 Sleuth book or DVD!

It’s been a huge year for the publishing arm of V8 Sleuth, including the May release of DJR 40 Years of Cars. Produced in association with Authentic Collectibles, the book sold out almost immediately.

There has also been a great response to recently published titles Seto: The official racing history of Glenn Seton, Racing the Lion: An illustrated history of Holden in motorsport and Bathurst: Going Global – 10 years of Australia’s International Enduro.

We have plenty more in-store in 2021 too, with work already underway on our Adelaide 500 and Perkins Engineering history books and the 2021 Supercars Championship Season Guide.

For those who order from our Bookshop over the Christmas/New Year break, we will only be fulfilling limited book and DVD orders until Monday January 4. Remaining orders will be sent when we get back.

Stay tuned though to our website and social media pages as we have a variety of content – including more episodes of the V8 Sleuth Podcast – to come over the break.

Lastly, a special mention to the people of the Supercars paddock who sacrificed so much in 2020 to keep the sport going. Without you the season simply could not have happened.

Here’s to a bigger and better 2021 as we continue to celebrate the history and heritage of Australian motorsport.

Aaron Noonan,
Managing Director, V8 Sleuth
