Morris extends Porsche campaign

NASH Morris will return to single-make Porsche racing this weekend after a stunning debut at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Morris burst onto the scene in the second-tier Sprint Challenge late last month, taking pole position and two race wins for TekworkX Motorsport.

The 20-year-old has now been confirmed for the remainder of the 2023 season, with three of six rounds still to come.

The first of those will take place this weekend at Queensland Raceway, as Porsche Sprint Challenge joins the Shannons SpeedSeries bill.

The final two events of the season will be held at Tailem Bend (October 13-15) and Mount Panorama (November 9-11).

Morris has found himself in a diverse 2023 motorsport program, also dabbling in Super2, Trans Am, GT4 and speedway.

Sydney aside, the 2021 Super3 champion was particularly impressive at Phillip Island in May where he dominated in Trans Am.

Morris will be part of a 24-car Sprint Challenge field at Ipswich.

Marco Giltrap leads the standings ahead of fellow New Zealanders Ronan Murphy and Zac Stichbury.

Other categories in action this weekend at QR include TCR Australia, Trans Am, GT World Challenge Australia, Australian Production Cars/GT4, and the Kumho V8 Touring Car Series.
