Mostert title winner for sale

THE Audi which powered Chaz Mostert to the 2021 TCR Australia title has been put on the market.

The RS 3 LMS, identified as chassis 17-145, is one of the most successful cars in the series’ young history Down Under.

It came close to delivering back-to-back titles for Melbourne Performance Centre when Will Brown last year got within nine points of upstaging Tony D’Alberto for the 2022 crown.

Adding to its all-star history, the car was also steered by five-time Bathurst 1000 winner Garth Tander in 2019.

All up, it has recorded six race wins and 18 podium finishes – most recently placing second at Symmons Plains earlier this year in the hands of Lachlan Mineeff.

The car has been listed for sale via my105.com with an asking price of $125,000.

Its engine and gearbox have 7329 and 1781 kilometres on it respectively.

Spare parts are not included but can be added at a cost; the same applies for returning the car to its triumphant 2021 livery.

There was a recent sale in the TCR landscape, with Wall Racing offloading the Honda Civic which was raced by Fabian Coulthard and Tim Slade last year.

It is due to be entered by a series debutant at Phillip Island next month.

There will also be a new brand on the Round 2 grid, with Ashley Seward Motorsport to roll out its recently acquired Lynk & Co for British driver Tom Oliphant.
