PremiAir renames Supercars, drag racing team

PREMIAIR Racing has announced a tweak to its official name to incorporate returning naming rights sponsor Nulon.

The team’s Repco Supercars Championship and National Drag Racing Championship entries will now come under the PremiAir Nulon Racing banner.

That involves the oil company supporting both the #23 and #31 Gen3 Camaros of Tim Slade and James Golding this year, as well as Peter Xiberras’ Top Fuel dragster.

“As we get ready to head into our third Supercars Championship season, we are very pleased to be able to announce we once again have such a leading company as Nulon backing our team,” said team owner Xiberras.

“For this highly respected company to be throwing their support behind both our Supercars and drag racing campaigns really shows the enthusiasm they have for what we are doing, and we are greatly looking forward to repaying that faith across 2024.

“In Supercars, we have made a lot of strides forward over the last two seasons, and with some key hires and a lot of work over the off-season, we are feeling ready and raring to get into the 2024 championship chase.

“At the same time, our pursuit of a third national Top Fuel title continues. We are halfway through the 2023/2024 NDRC season now following the Australia Day Nationals at the weekend in Sydney, and we are still well in the hunt.”

PremiAir, which has simultaneously launched a new website, has made high-profile off-season additions to its Supercars engineering roster in the form of Ludo Lacroix and Mirko De Rosa.
