AARON Seton has taken his V8 Sleuth-backed Ford Mustang to victory in today’s third and final race of the second round of the National Trans Am Series at Phillip Island today.
The win was enough to land Seton the weekend’s round victory and he now sits just two points behind Nathan Herne in the series.
His race win and a pair of second-placed finishes – one behind Owen Kelly on Saturday and another in this morning’s opening race behind Herne – saw him finish as the top point scorer for the weekend.
“The car felt awesome all weekend, I just struggled to get past the leader in Races 1 and 2 but looked after my tyres well and came home strong in Race 3,” he said post-race.
Seton’s #1 Mustang is run by Harris Racing and was backed by V8 Sleuth for this weekend’s Phillip Island round.
The next round of the National Trans Am Series will be at Bathurst on the Easter weekend of April 2-4 supporting the Bathurst 6 Hour production car classic.
