SEVEN TO PREMIERE NEW MOTORSPORT TV SHOW

THE Seven Network’s new motorsport television show, 7th Gear, is set to premiere today (Monday September 27).

Co-hosted by sports presenter Chris Stubbs and Supercars co-drivers Jack Perkins and Garth Tander, the 60-minute program will be broadcast from 4:30pm AEST on 7mate.

PRE-ORDER: Neil Crompton: Best Seat in the House
NEWS: Revised 2021 Supercars calendar confirmed

The weekly show will feature news, highlights and opinion on domestic and world motorsport, complementing Seven’s existing motor racing commitments.

Seven is the free-to-air broadcaster of the Supercars Championship and the Australian Racing Group categories, including TCR Australia.

Stubbs and Perkins have both featured on Seven’s ARG coverage this year, while the later has also worked on Supercars broadcasts and hosts the ‘Motorsport Classics’ show.

Tander has meanwhile been a star addition to the Supercars broadcasts in 2021, filling multiple roles as part of the category’s permanent television team.

The 7th Gear name plays on that of popular British motoring shows ‘Top Gear’ and ‘Fifth Gear’.

Episode 1 is scheduled to be replayed on 7mate on Tuesday September 28 at 1am and Wednesday September 29 at 2pm and will also be available via streaming service 7Plus.
