SIX broadcasters have been announced as the backbone of the 2024 Shannons SpeedSeries on-air talent.

Intrigue has surrounded how the SpeedSeries television product will look in the post-Stan Sport era, after Motorsport Australia struck a two-year free-to-air deal with the Seven Network through 2025.

That is now clearer, with Sarah Burt and Cameron van den Dungen confirmed alongside incumbents Greg Rust, Chris Stubbs, Matt Naulty and Richard Craill.

Also appearing on the Sandown broadcast will be Supercars regular Todd Hazelwood, who is competing in Trans Am this year, and 2023 TCR Australia champion Josh Buchan.

“We’re delighted to be working with a really great group of on-air talent who are all very passionate about what they do and also thrilled to be working with Rainmaker to deliver a great broadcast offering on the Seven Network starting with Race Sandown,” said Motorsport Australia CEO Sunil Vohra.

“The category line-up across the whole year, along with some exciting race formats, provides an excellent broadcast offering that will feature back-to-back racing each day.

“We’re also really keen to tell the stories of the paddock, with so many talented drivers and teams that make the Shannons SpeedSeries great.

“With all rounds live and free on 7plus, and a number of broadcast windows across free-to-air, this year is looking like a strong year for the Shannons SpeedSeries.”

Four hours of Sandown action will be televised via 7mate across this Saturday and Sunday, with the bulk of the remainder available on 7plus.

Joining TCR at Sandown will be the National Trans Am Series, Formula Open and Australian Production Cars.
