Subaru enters into partnership with Supercars

SUBARU has lauded a deal with Supercars which will see its vehicles hit the track in 2024, albeit not in a competitive sense.

The Japanese brand has provided the championship with a pair of WRXs to be used as BP-liveried race control vehicles.

They join Supercars’ diverse fleet of officials vehicles, along with a Porsche Taycan GTS Safety Car, Porsche Cayenne medical car, and a Volkswagen Amarok recovery vehicle.

Supercars CEO Shane Howard welcomed the first-time partnership.

“It’s fantastic to integrate these ultra-high-performance vehicles into our championship for 2024,” he said.

Subaru has a proud history in motorsport, primarily through rally, having conquered the Australian and World Rally Championships in the 1990s and 2000s.

“We are excited to partner with Supercars and provide our iconic WRX, in its 30th year in Australia to both showcase the latest generation model to motorsport enthusiasts around the country whilst supporting the all-important race and safety officials that make these events possible for the fans,” said Trent Whitechurch of Subaru Australia.

Round 2 of the Repco Supercars Championship will unfold at Albert Park on March 21-24.
