PREMIAIR Racing Supercars drivers James Golding and Tim Slade are set to lap up additional mileage in 2024 by contesting the full National Trans Am season.

Two-time champion Nathan Herne has gone on to forge a career in the United States, while a mix of young talent and well-known veterans have flocked to the Australian category – from Jett Johnson and Nash Morris to Owen Kelly and James Moffat.

Brodie Kostecki dabbled in Trans Am in 2022, with Slade plus Supercars co-drivers Tyler Everingham and Jaylyn Robotham making cameos last year.

Moffat, who soared to the 2023 title, has been confirmed to return with Garry Rogers Motorsport this season.

Slade and Golding, among others, are likely to provide stiff competition.

It’s expected the latter will be in the GRM stable, given his long-held connection to the Victorian squad across S5000, Supercars and Super2.

The new Trans Am season will get underway at Sandown on February 9-11.
