TICKFORD Racing has unveiled the latest livery set to be campaigned on James Courtney’s #5 Ford Mustang in the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship.
Courtney’s car will carry the colours of Snowy River Caravans at this weekend’s Perth SuperNight and the following Winton SuperSprint in late May.
It’s the latest in a series of sponsorship deals for Courtney, who ran with backing from Opposite Lock at Sydney Motorsport Park and Symmons Plains before sporting FLEX signage at Albert Park.
The Melbourne event was ultimately frustrating for the 2010 Supercars Champion, who was spun out of a podium position on the final corner of Saturday’s race by Chaz Mostert.
“Perth is one of our longest road trips of the season, so it’s fantastic to have Snowy River Caravans along for the ride,” Courtney said.
“It’s going to be a very exciting weekend for the championship, racing under the lights again in WA, and we’re excited to have the team at Snowy River on board.
“We had some really good speed at the Grand Prix a few weeks ago, but we didn’t convert that into the results we deserved, so we’re very motivated to make the most of this weekend.”
Courtney heads to Perth 14th in the championship, while Tickford teammates Cameron Waters, Thomas Randle and Jake Kostecki are seventh, 23rd and 24th respectively.
