TV COMMENTARY CHANGE FOR SYDNEY SUPER2

THIS weekend’s return of the Dunlop Super2 Series in Sydney will feature a modified commentary line-up on FOX Sports though with a very familiar voice returning to the broadcast.

V8 Sleuth’s Aaron Noonan will make a return to Supercars Media commentary line-up for this weekend’s round, which also features Super3 as part of the weekend’s two races.

He’ll join regular Dunlop Super2 Series commentator Chad Neylon to call this weekend’s action, which is round two of Super2 and the opening round of the 2020 Super3 Series.

Would you trust these two with a microphone? Noonan and Neylon worked together during the Channel 7 V8 Supercar telecast era.

The duo will call the action from FOX Footy’s studios in Melbourne given both are residents of the Victorian capital and unable to travel to New South Wales given the current border closure between states.

Neylon’s regular Super2 Series co-commentator Greg Murphy remains in New Zealand, prompting Supercars to draft in the former series voice to assist in this weekend’s TV broadcast.

Neylon has been the voice of the Dunlop Super2 Series for Supercars Media since 2018 with Noonan serving as the lead caller prior to that for the category during the Seven Network era from 2007 to 2014.

Brodie Kostecki currently leads the Dunlop Super2 Series after the opening round in Adelaide back in late February.

This weekend’s round will be just the second time the series has competed at Sydney Motorsport Park in the last 15 years – the category last raced there in 2017 when Anton De Pasquale won the round for Paul Morris Motorsports.
