V8 SLEUTH has continued its on-going growth this week with the confirmation of the addition of award-winning Australian motorsport journalist Connor O’Brien to its team.

Queensland-based O’Brien becomes the Editor of the V8 Sleuth website beginning this week.

He’ll work with MD Aaron Noonan and Head of Digital Will Dale to continue to grow the business’ digital offering and increasing its reach via quality reporting and content generation.

O’Brien joins from the respected Speedcafe.com, where he served as Editor having previously worked at Supercars on its website.

He won the Supercars Media Award in 2017 while working at the Gold Coast Bulletin.

“The addition of Connor to our team gives us an incredible editorial line-up of experienced motorsport media professionals, one that I am thrilled to bring together,” says V8 Sleuth MD Aaron Noonan.

“Adding him to our team, a team that already includes the very talented Stefan Bartholomaeus and Will Dale, gives us a powerful group of respected, mature journalists and content creators that will take us to the next level.

“I’m thrilled Connor shares our vision for where we’re going, the culture we’ve built and how we go about things.

“He comes with fantastic credentials, a great nose for news and a high level of respect from within the industry. He’s the perfect fit to join us.”

O’Brien, 29, will take charge of the v8sleuth.com.au website immediately with the Sandown SuperSprint later this month his first on-site Supercars event for V8 Sleuth.

“The V8 Sleuth brand that Aaron and his team have been building in recent years is very well-regarded in our industry, so to be handed the keys to driving the website forward I consider a great opportunity,” says O’Brien.

“We’re going to publish more content more often, making V8 Sleuth a must-visit daily destination for any Aussie motorsport fan.

“There are so many great resources within the business to draw upon. From a massive photo library to the best statistics database in the country, I’m keen to sink my teeth in and get started.”

V8 Sleuth is Australia’s online home of motorsport, showcasing the latest in racing news, opinion, and features with a special blend of contemporary and heritage-flavoured content.

It also includes a weekly, industry-leading podcast and the V8 Sleuth Superstore, an online marketplace for motorsport fans to source books, model cars, collectables, art prints and other memorabilia relating to their favourite cars, teams and drivers.
