THE latest episode on the Perkins Engineering YouTube channel charts the evolution of steering wheels in V8 Supercars across the decades.

In the video Jack Perkins gives a detailed insight into how and why the size, shape and complexity of the wheels have changed throughout the years.

As Perkins explains using the three cars in the Perkins Engineering workshop – which represent 1993, 2003 and 2015 – there’s more to it than you’d think!

A reminder, too: the National Motor Racing Museum holds the last remaining stock of our recently released book, Perkins Engineering: The Cars, 1986-2008.
