YOU could potentially own the steering wheel that Brodie Kostecki used to take his maiden Repco Supercars Championship pole position at Sydney Motorsport Park last weekend.
Erebus Motorsport is putting the steering wheels used at each round of the 2022 season by Kostecki and teammate Will Brown up for auction with team sponsor Grays.
Both drivers will use different steering wheels for each event throughout the 2022 season, with auction winners receiving a Certificate of Authenticity from the team to verify their wheel was used in that event.
There is also a twist with the 24 steering wheels up for grabs this year across the remaining 12 rounds of the 2022 championship.
The auctions for those will take place during the final race of each round, meaning fans will be able to watch Brown and Kostecki using the steering wheels that they are bidding on.
“Grays are extremely proud to be part of the Erebus Motorsport team and we are very excited to bring these steering wheels from the Boost Mobile Racing cars to fans all over Australia with these online auction events,” Chris Corbin, CEO of Grays, said.
“Bidding live on the wheels while watching the races unfold throughout the Supercars season is a unique concept that we are looking forward to bringing to motorsport fans.”
The auctions for both wheels are live now with bidding closing on Tuesday 15 March.
