AUDI Sport will send six factory drivers to contest the Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour next month.
Leading the charge will be the all-pro #74 R8 LMS of Mattia Drudi (Italy), Christopher Haase (Germany) and Patric Niederhauser (Switzerland).
Niederhauser’s compatriot Ricardo Feller rejoins Yasser Shahin for the second straight year at the Bathurst 12 Hour, with a familiar face in Christopher Mies (Germany) rounding out the #777 Pro-Am entry.
Mies was on double duties at Mount Panorama in late 2021, competing in both TCR Australia and GT World Challenge Australia.
The other international in the Audi ranks will be Frederic Vervisch.
The Belgian will spearhead the PremiAir Racing/Schumacher Motorsport #55, which tested at Phillip Island today in the hands of co-drivers James Golding and Brad Schumacher.
Kelvin van der Linde was originally in line for that squad, only for a potential Formula E debut to intervene.
Other notable names among the seven rosters simultaneously revealed are Bathurst 1000 winners Lee Holdsworth and Jonathon Webb.
“For our local MPC (Melbourne Performance Centre) partners, the race is a first-class sporting challenge just as it is for us,” said head of Audi Sport customer racing Chris Reinke.
“Already traditionally, MPC is represented at Bathurst with a strong, competitive base of customers.
“Audi Sport customer racing complements the privateer line-up with six Audi Sport drivers split across three race cars.”
The German brand has taken outright victory in the Bathurst 12 Hour on three occasions: 2011, 2012 and 2018.
