LIAM Talbot maintained the #22 Jamec Pem MPC Audi’s stronghold at the top of the timesheets at the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour.
The reigning GT World Challenge Australia champion headed the running in Practice 2, a 40-minute session solely for Bronze-graded drivers.

Talbot headed the running for the bulk of the session and set his fastest time on his final flyer, despite losing time in the final sector as he encountered traffic exiting the Chase and understeer through Murray’s Corner.
His 2m06.1193s time led put him just over 0.2s clear of the #75 SunEnergy1 Mercedes-AMG of Kenny Habul, while Yasser Shahin put three different marques in the top three spots in the #911 The Bend Manthey EMA Porsche.
Like the opening session, Practice 2 was completed without incident although improving weather meant the skies cleared over Mount Panorama in time for the final minutes.
The sister #2 Jamec Pem MPC Audi provided the only drama of the session through its absence from most of it.
Mechanics worked through most of the session to change a sensor located in a tricky to access place in the rear of the R8 LMS, finishing the job with five minutes remaining.
It was enough time for Brad Schumacher to complete one flying lap that proved fourth-fastest in the session.
The Pro drivers return to the cockpits for Practice 3 which gets underway at 1:30pm AEDT.
