JAXON Evans will tackle the 2024 Repco Bathurst 12 Hour in a Porsche-backed entry.
Evans has long been part of the global Porsche family and it appears his relationship with the German marque is not over, despite moving full-time into Supercars next year.
The 27-year-old recently snapped up the final seat on the 2024 grid: the SCT Logistics Camaro run out of Brad Jones Racing.
But a week before he makes his solo Supercars debut, Evans will contest the Bathurst 12 Hour alongside 2023 Porsche Supercup champion Bastian Buus and DTM race winner Joel Eriksson for Phantom Global Racing.
Their #13 Porsche 911 GT3 R (Type 992) is being backed by Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific and will receive technical support from Porsche Motorsport.

“I’m extremely excited to team up with Phantom Global Racing for the Bathurst 12 Hour, one of the most prestigious endurance races in the world,” said Evans.
“With the technical support of Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific, I’m confident that we can challenge for the highest honours.”
Phantom Global Racing team director Martin Young added: “I’m happy to announce that we’ll be taking part in one of the biggest GT3 races, the Bathurst 12 Hour, as our first official race as Phantom Global with the support of Team 75.
“As a new team, it’s amazing to have the opportunity to take part in the Pro class and I would like to express my appreciation to Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific and Porsche for their trust and support.
“It’s going to be a new track for the team, but with the young talent we have I’m hoping we can be a surprise package and achieve strong results.”
Mount Panorama will host the 12 Hour on February 16-18, a week before the Repco Supercars Championship season opens at the same location.
