SYMMONS Plains Raceway will welcome a deeper support card when Supercars rolls into town next month for the 2023 Ned Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint.
Last year’s trip to the Apple Isle featured just the three categories outside of the main game: the V8 SuperUte Series, Aussie Racing Cars and Tassie Tin Tops.
The latter two have retained their place for this year’s May 19-21 event, while SuperUtes have dropped off.
That has been replaced by both Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge and Australian Formula Ford, making for a slightly more diverse mix.
The National Sports Sedans Series had at one stage been in line to open its 2023 season at Symmons Plains too, although a rejigged five-round calendar now starts at Winton on June 9-11.
All Repco Supercars Championship action at the Tasmania SuperSprint will be condensed into the Saturday and Sunday.
