Bottas to steer Tekno Bathurst 1000-winning Supercar

FORMULA 1 star Valtteri Bottas has been confirmed for his first drive of a Supercar at the upcoming Adelaide Motorsport Festival.

Already confirmed to be steering an Alfa Romeo GTV Group A touring car at the event, Bottas had flagged a desire to try his hand in a Supercar.

That opportunity indeed will come on Sunday (March 26), at the wheel of the Holden VF Commodore which powered Tekno Autosports to victory in the 2016 Bathurst 1000.

That win was shared by Will Davison and team owner Jonathon Webb, who will also drive the car in Adelaide.

Bottas will be guided through his Supercar debut by seven-time Great Race winner Craig Lowndes.

Lowndes will also be in action, aboard the Triple Eight ZB Commodore which won Holden’s last ever Supercars race courtesy of Broc Feeney at the 2022 Adelaide 500.

The Adelaide Motorsport Festival will be held on the Victoria Park section of the iconic street circuit.

Bottas will head from the South Australian capital to Melbourne to contest the F1 Australian Grand Prix the following weekend (March 31 to April 2).
