JORDAN Boys has completed a pre-Adelaide 500 test ahead of his Dunlop Super2 Series comeback.
Boys headed to Winton Motor Raceway yesterday as he prepares to take over the Erebus Academy/Image Racing ZB Commodore previously piloted this year by Jack Perkins.
Boys, who co-drove with Macauley Jones in the recent Supercars Championship enduros, has not raced in Super2 since the 2021 season finale.
“Although we lost a lot of time with the rain yesterday morning, overall the test was really positive for myself and the team,” said the 26-year-old.
“We mainly focused on getting me back into the swing of things and I felt pretty comfortable straight away so the team and I are really happy with where we got to.
“We also got the chance to work on some qualifying simulation stuff which seemed to go really well and is something that’s going to be really important at Adelaide.”
Boys is at Calder Park today to assist with an Image/Erebus Academy driver evaluation day, utilising a V8 Touring Car-spec Supercar.
Erebus CEO Barry Ryan meanwhile thanked Image for its ongoing collaboration.
“Erebus debuted in the Super2 series this year with Jack Perkins at the wheel and we will conclude with Jordan Boys in Adelaide,” Ryan said.
“Image Racing has been a huge support in the program with management, taking the car to the track and providing additional staff as required.
“We want to thank Terry and Dana Wyhoon for their commitment to our team, as well as our loyal partners in Shaw and Partners, SCTR, Coca-Cola, Snap-on and Metamark in our inaugural season.”
The VAILO Adelaide 500 will take place across November 23-26.
