Caltex joins V8 Sleuth

THE Caltex brand is making a return to Supercars at this year’s Repco Bathurst 1000 with the sponsorship of the ‘Caltex Young Stars’, driven by Super2 Series regulars Matt Chahda and Jaylyn Robotham.

Caltex will help bring coverage of motorsport this October, including the Repco Bathurst 1000 and Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, to V8 Sleuth’s ever-growing audience of website readers and podcast listeners.

Caltex with Techron will feature prominently via the V8 Sleuth website andits award-winning podcast as well as through a special social media content series and as presenting partner of the website’s Dunlop Super2 Series coverage.

Caltex is a global brand owned by Chevron, one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies with a 70-year history in Australia.

Chevron Australia Downstream Head Of Marketing Cris Gillespie said October is a special month on the Australian motorsport calendar.

“We’re excited to be involved with the biggest Supercars race of the year,” Cris said.

“Caltex colours have been carried around the Mountain by a range of legendary drivers, including Colin Bond, Alan Jones, Craig Lowndes, Jamie Whincup and Steve Richards. This year, we’re proud to be supporting two young drivers making their first start in the Bathurst 1000.”

Chevron is growing the Caltex brand and its premium range of fuels and lubricants following the acquisition of Puma Energy Australia in 2020.

A national rebranding of most Puma sites to Caltex is underway and includes the opening of new Caltex service stations, a program that will continue through 2023.

The Repco Bathurst 1000 runs from October 6 to 9 at Mount Panorama.
