Erebus history to be captured in 10-year anniversary book

EREBUS Motorsport has announced an upcoming book to be produced by V8 Sleuth’s parent company AN1 Media.

Erebus is this weekend celebrating its 10-year anniversary, having debuted in the Supercars Championship at the 2013 Adelaide 500.

That came after Betty Klimenko bought and rebranded championship-winning Stone Brothers Racing squad, fielding a trio of Mercedes for Lee Holdsworth, Maro Engel and Tim Slade.

A decade on and the team has chalked up eight main game race wins, nine pole positions and 36 podiums.

“It’s been an incredible decade for Erebus and it’s gone so quickly,” Klimenko said.

“We’ve had our ups and downs, as does every team, but I am incredibly proud to look back at what we have achieved.

“I am so happy with where we are now and what we have accomplished in those 10 years and I look forward to seeing what the next 10 years will bring.”

The book will cover Erebus’ history, including the 2023 season, and is due for release early next year.

It will tell the story of its Supercars journey year-by-year, its drivers and figureheads, and feature a section detailing every Erebus E63, Commodore and Camaro complete with comprehensive stats.

Also in the pipeline is an anniversary merchandise range.

The team’s latest chapter will begin this weekend at the Thrifty Newcastle 500, where a pair of Coca-Cola Chevrolet Camaros will make their racing debuts in the hands of Brodie Kostecki and Will Brown.
