Erebus/Image announce all-new Super2 roster

EREBUS Motorsport and affiliate Image Racing will field a new-look driver line-up in the 2024 Dunlop Super2 Series.

Out goes Jack Perkins (Erebus) and Jay Hanson (Image) from last year; in their respective places will be rookies Jobe Stewart and Jarrod Hughes.

Stewart, the 2023 Super3 champion, has long been expected to make the step up, while Hughes joins Image through the Erebus Academy after spending the past couple of seasons in Toyota 86s.

“Competing in the Super2 Series with Image Racing and Erebus Academy is an exciting new chapter in my career,” said Hughes.

“Alongside Jobe, I am eager to get to Bathurst for the first round of the 2024 season.”

A renowned supporter of young talent, Erebus CEO Barry Ryan is excited to see how the duo fare.

“The Erebus Academy has lent its support to many notable drivers, including Jack Le Brocq, Richard Muscat, Adam Marjoram, Anton De Pasquale and Will Brown to name a few,” he said.

“The fact we have Jack returning this year as a Supercars race winner is a testament to the importance of creating pathways to develop young talent – both on and off the track.

“Jobe is still only 19 years old but last year he showed exactly what we saw in him at 12. He has all the hallmarks of a future Erebus champion and that is exactly what the Academy is about.

“It’s great to welcome Jarrod to the Academy. The Super2 category is extremely competitive and I’m really looking forward to seeing how the two of them go this year.”

Hughes is not the only Toyota 86 graduate slotting into the 2024 Dunlop Series, with others confirmed thus far including Campbell Logan (Walkinshaw Andretti United/Super2), Reuben Goodall (Gomersall Motorsport/Super2) and Cody Burcher (MW Motorsport/Super3).
