Fans’ chance to design a Supercars livery

BRAD Jones Racing will run a fan-created Supercars livery at the season-ending VAILO Adelaide 500.

It will come on the Camaro of Macauley Jones, with the caveat being that the theme must be related to major sponsor Pizza Hut.

Per team communications: “All skill levels from Picasso himself to stick figure extraordinaires are welcome to submit their ideas, as long as it’s inspired by the legendary Pizza Hut brand; from pineapples to pepperoni, this livery could just be one with everything.”

The #96 Chevrolet has sported a range of looks this season, none more notable than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle design at The Bend in August.

Jones is encouraging fans to get adventurous.

“I love this concept from Pizza Hut and I can’t wait to see what we’re going to get,” he said.

“They’ve been able to knock it out of the park and this is another awesome way to bring fans into our team.

“Honestly, I’d love to see something absolutely wild on the car – the crazier the better. But we’ll see what comes through and I’ll be stoked no matter what.”

Pizza Hut Australia director of marketing and digital Simon Stocks added: “We turned Car #96 into the TMNT car and the overwhelming fan response inspired us to embark on something new – something that every fan can be a part of.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re not a BJR or Pizza Hut enthusiast, or even a Supercars superfan. We simply seek a fresh, unprecedented, and daring approach.

“Seeing your design on a Supercar is a rare and extraordinary opportunity that Pizza Hut wishes to offer to its fans.

“Keep in mind, your submission need not be flawless; we embrace imperfections and encourage entries from those under 10 too. Let the creativity flow and enjoy the journey.”

Jones holds 21st in the championship ahead of this weekend’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.
