First glimpse at DJR Bathurst wildcard look

DICK Johnson Racing appears set to dress its maiden Repco Bathurst 1000 wildcard Mustang primarily in yellow.

The stalwart Ford squad has given little away about the livery its #98 entry for Kai Allen and Simona De Silvestro will run, besides having Shell V-Power in a naming rights capacity.

Having been delayed in her travels from Switzerland to Australia due to emergency surgery to remove her appendix, De Silvestro has now lobbed.

She appeared at Sandown this morning, wearing specific yellow merchandise featuring #98 and “2023 Bathurst wildcard”.

It matches how Kai Allen’s DJR race suit appeared in an all-in field shot (below) on Thursday at Sandown.

There is no confirmation yet on the wildcard’s exact race livery.

Allen completed a test day earlier this month at Queensland Raceway, at which time the third Mustang was in the more familiar red base scheme.

Allen and De Silvestro are due to test again before Bathurst on October 5-8.
