Full standings: Brown wins Larry Perkins Trophy

A SECOND-PLACE finish behind Nick Percat on Sunday was enough for Will Brown to win the Larry Perkins Trophy at Albert Park.

Brown pounced after teammate and nearest Perkins Trophy rival Broc Feeney attempted a pass for the lead on Percat and lost momentum.

It marks the first major trophy of Brown’s Supercars career.

The Larry Perkins Trophy has been awarded to the highest weekend points-scorer at Albert Park since 2018.

“That’s pretty high up there,” Brown said on the broadcast.

“I think I have got one round win to my name so to get one at the Grand Prix, the Larry Perkins Trophy – I had Jack Perkins a great mate of mine as a co-driver for three years and it means a lot to get that trophy.”
