As with the new Gen3-spec Ford Mustang GT, the race-going Camaro bears a strong resemblance to its road-car counterpart.
Fresh from completing the design of the next generation Camaro ZL1 for NASCAR, the GM Design team in Detroit were also responsible for the overall appearance of the Camaro racer for Australia.
Similar design cues are evident in their muscular appearance and unmistakable resemblance to their road going equivalents.
The Camaro ZL1 will join the new Ford Mustang GT in cutting demonstration laps at Mount Panorama during the Repco Bathurst 1000 weekend, with Triple Eight’s Shane van Gisbergen receiving the honour of the first laps behind the wheel of the Chevrolet.
