AS the first Gen3 shakedown for Triple Eight Race Engineering and PremiAir Racing nears its end, V8 Sleuth brings to you a selection of images from the day at Queensland Raceway.
Both Shane van Gisbergen and Broc Feeney’s Red Bull Camaros ran in a test livery, carrying out a flurry of short runs this afternoon.
All up, it’s believed the team accumulated in the vicinity of 210 laps across the eight-plus hours of track time.
It was just the one car for PremiAir, with its #31 for James Golding debuting; teammate Tim Slade also spent some time in the driver’s seat.
It was a late start to the day for PremiAir, only leaving pitlane for the first time at 11:30am AEST, while Golding later had a minor spin at Turn 3. They bounced back to chalk up solid mileage in the afternoon.
SLEUTHING: What every Gen3 Supercars chassis will be called
Slade’s #23 Camaro is tipped to be shaken down on Tuesday February 14, when Triple Eight will return for another two-pronged hitout.
Gomersall Motorsport also made an appearance this morning with a Super2 ZB Commodore for Aaron Seton and a Super3 VF Commodore for Jason Gomersall.
Following a mid-morning period of rain, the start-up squad elected to head home, thus keeping its six allocated test days intact.
