THERE are set to be some movers and shakers in Supercars’ live pitlane order when longer distance racing returns next month at Taupō Motorsport Park.
The new-for-2024 system sees the pitlane order at any given event based on the teams’ championship standings at the end of the previous round.
Triple Eight and Grove Racing will remain first and second in the lane for the ITM Taupō Super400, but behind them there has been change.
Team 18 has displaced Matt Stone Racing to be third – despite Nick Percat’s win this morning – while Walkinshaw Andretti United is the biggest winner rising from ninth to sixth.
On the flipside, Brad Jones Racing has paid the price for its disastrous Melbourne SuperSprint, sliding from fifth to ninth.
The inaugural ITM Taupō Super400 will take place across April 19-21.
