New co-host for Bathurst 1000 broadcast

THERE will be a new free-to-air co-host for this year’s Repco Bathurst 1000, with Mel McLaughlin sharing the Seven Network duties with Mark Beretta.

McLaughlin is a familiar face in the sports television sphere but will be making her Bathurst debut.

Seven has also announced its broader line-up for the event, comprising Jack Perkins, Brad Hodge, Emma Freedman and Chris Stubbs.

“It’s already been a massive year of sport on Seven, but you haven’t seen anything yet,” said Seven’s head of network sport Lewis Martin.

“The Bathurst 1000 is without a doubt the premier event in Australian motorsport.

“Seven will bring fans all the best action from Mount Panorama across three full days of adrenaline-charged live and free racing, from this Friday.”

On the Fox Sports side, it will be an unchanged roster led by host Jess Yates and commentators Neil Crompton and Mark Skaife.

Thursday marks the opening day of track action at Mount Panorama.
