New face to join revamped SpeedSeries broadcast

THERE will be at least one fresh face on the 2024 Shannons SpeedSeries broadcast as it enters a new era.

Motorsport Australia’s move to reclaim the SpeedSeries’ television rights from the Australian Racing Group at the end of last year led to a change of broadcast arrangement.

After two years with Stan Sport, the SpeedSeries will feature on the Seven Network (primarily 7plus) in seasons 2024 and 2025.

V8 Sleuth has learnt Sarah Burt will come onboard as a key figure in the revamped product.

Burt is a sports journalist and 3AW radio broadcaster, with prior experience at The Age, ESPN and Seven. She has accordingly updated her social media handles to reflect her new SpeedSeries role.

Elsewise, several familiar television identities such as Greg Rust and Richard Craill are tipped to remain in place despite the change of networks.

The 2024 Shannons SpeedSeries will kick off at Sandown on February 9-11.
