PremiAir’s plan for unraced Gen3 chassis

PREMIAIR Racing will resist the temptation to debut its unraced ex-Peter Adderton Gen3 chassis for now.

It was revealed late last year that PremiAir had acquired 888A-064, giving it a third Triple Eight-built Chevrolet Camaro Supercar.

That car made a public appearance in promoting the 2023 Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, but has remained in a spare capacity ever since.

PremiAir team manager Stephen Robertson has now confirmed Tim Slade and James Golding will continue in their respective 2023 cars for this season, with 888A-064 staying on the sidelines.

“The new car is parked. It’s a spare,” he told V8 Sleuth.

“To be honest, these cars are a year old, they were given a thorough checking over at Christmas.

“We don’t see the need to swap out to a new car at this stage, plus there’s complications of who gets it – sometimes it’s easier that nobody gets it!

“The cars are more than capable of doing the job that they need them to do.”

PremiAir is due to launch its 2024 Nulon livery today at Sea World on the Gold Coast.
