Race-winning colours for Perkins

JACK Perkins will run familiar colours for his full-time return to the Dunlop Super2 Series.

Shaw and Partners Financial Services have been confirmed as naming rights sponsor for the #70 Erebus Motorsport entry.

It was with a similar livery that Perkins competed at the 2021 Repco Bathurst 1000 as Will Brown’s co-driver, just weeks after Brown delivered a stunning maiden victory at Sydney Motorsport Park.

The ZB Commodore which Perkins is steering, however, is EMH04 – the car which Richie Stanaway and Greg Murphy shared in a Bathurst wildcard last year.

“We all really loved how the 2021 Shaw and Partners livery looked so we started with that as a template but have made it even bolder and brighter and it looks fantastic,” Perkins said.

“Earl Evans and his team at Shaw and Partners really wanted to help prepare me for the endurance races with Will and after our Super2 entry at Sandown last year, he was really keen to put together a full championship.

“I’m so grateful for the support of Shaw and Partners, and indeed Southern Cross Truck Rentals and the support of my loyal partners Noble Logistics, ARB Penrith and Muscle Car Warehouse.

“I’m really looking forward to racing the car and representing them throughout the year.”

Perkins is testing today at Winton Motor Raceway, where Brown is also shaking down his new #9 Coca-Cola Camaro.

As indicated by Perkins, the duo will partner up again for the 2023 Supercars enduros.
