Rare Triple Eight car features as Diecast Model Expo returns

MODEL car fans and collectors are in for a treat later this year with the return of the Diecast Model Expo.

One of the most popular events among model car collectors in Australia, this year’s event will be held on November 4 and 5 at Tabcorp Park in Melton, Victoria, just outside Melbourne.

It is the fifth Diecast Model Expo and the first since 2018. The Gold Coast hosted the first two in 2011 and 2013, while 2015’s event was held in Penrith and 2018’s in Parramatta.

Tickets are on sale now here with general admission tickets priced at $24 per person and including two days entry to the Expo and, most importantly, providing the opportunity to purchase exclusive expo models.

The first of a range of exclusive expo models already announced is the 1:18 scale model of the 2017 Triple Eight Red Bull Commodore ZB prototype Supercar, of which just 300 models have been produced especially for Expo attendees.

These cars will not be available to purchase via any other means.

Further announcements of other exclusive expo models will follow in upcoming weeks, as will details of the special guests that will make appearances at the event.

A Saturday night gala dinner will be held on the Saturday night (tickets $65 per person) including a special guest signing session and lucky door prizes.

For more details, visit the Diecast Model Expo website here.
