SUPERCARS has confirmed a split pre-season testing program for 2024.
Announced via the category’s official website, there will be no all-in hitout as there was this year at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Instead, Queensland Raceway and Winton Motor Raceway will be used as teams prepare for Round 1 at Mount Panorama on February 23-25.
Triple Eight, Dick Johnson Racing, Matt Stone Racing and PremiAir Racing will all head to Ipswich on Monday, February 5.
Two days later, Tickford Racing, Walkinshaw Andretti United, Grove Racing, Erebus Motorsport, Team 18, Brad Jones Racing and the Blanchard Racing Team will be in action at Winton.
Representatives of Supercars’ technical team will attend both days.
The outings will be pivotal in more ways than one, including after potential changes are made following off-season wind tunnel aero parity testing – not to mention the use of transient dynos to compare the Ford and Chevrolet engines.
There will also be a raft of new combinations getting up to speed, with as few as two of the 11 teams taking unchanged driver line-ups forward.

One partnership which has benefitted from an early start is Richie Stanaway/Grove Racing, with the 2023 Bathurst 1000 winner turning laps at a QR ride day on Tuesday.
There’s still one round to come this season, the VAILO Adelaide 500 where Brodie Kostecki and Shane van Gisbergen will go head-to-head in a title decider.
