EREBUS junior Jobe Stewart’s Super3 title campaign has been boosted by a long-time supporter tipping money in.
Shamick Transport will take prominent branding down the sides of the #999 Commodore for the remaining three rounds of the season, those spots having previously been blank.
Stewart will enter Sandown next month holding a narrow three-point lead over Cameron McLeod.
“I’ve followed Jobe’s career since his early karting days and I’ve always respected him as a racer,” said Shamick Transport director Shane Wharton.
“He’s really showcased his driving capabilities since progressing into the Super3 category and I feel that now is the right time to start supporting his career in a financial way.
“We’re happy to be supporting him for the remainder of the year and I am excited to continue watching his progression in the sport.”
Stewart expressed his gratitude: “It’s great to have Shamick Transport onboard for the rest of the year.
“I’ve known the Wharton family for over 10 years now and I was always racing against Shane’s son James so I grew quite close to them both.
“It’s great that Shane is continuing to show interest in my career after karting.
“The car looks great and I can’t wait to represent Shamick Transport for the remainder of the season.”
