TCR Australia category manager Lisa Totani insists there is no cause for concern about a 13-car field for Round 2 of the season this weekend.
The annual Tasmanian trip often proves difficult to secure large grid sizes, given the costs and logistics involved with crossing the Bass Strait.
Dropping out from the 15 TCR competitors who raced at Sandown are Marcus LaDelle and Iain McDougall.
On the flipside, Clay Richards and Dylan O’Keeffe have been confirmed to race at Symmons Plains, after appearing at Sandown on initial one-round deals.

Will Harris is also back from the rib injury which saw John Martin unexpectedly sub into the #76 Honda, while entry list information indicates Josh Buchan will again be in a Hyundai hatch as opposed to the newer-specification sedan.
“The nature of Symmons Plains Raceway always delivers exciting racing and the passion for TCR from the Tasmanian motorsport fans has been unwavering,” said Totani.
“Having an extremely competitive field, any of our 13 drivers are capable of winning this weekend.
“With strong TV figures from Sandown interest in TCR is steadily building and I wouldn’t be discouraged by grid numbers this weekend, but I’m confident of a return to at least 15 cars for Phillip Island.”
Ben Bargwanna holds the series lead, with a two-point advantage over 2023 champion Buchan.
