V8 Sleuth and Castrol MN podcasts powering ahead in 2023

THE Motorsport Podcast Network continues to power ahead of the field with its suite of industry-leading Australian motorsport podcasts in 2023.

Both of the network’s podcasts – the V8 Sleuth Podcast and Castrol Motorsport News Podcast – have achieved great results in the early part of the season, reflecting the hunger and passion for motorsport news and information from its loyal and ever-growing listener base.

Debuting in late 2021, the Castrol Motorsport News Podcast – hosted by leading motorsport journalists Andrew van Leeuwen and Stefan Bartholomaeus – is enjoying a brilliant start to the year as the duo bring the best in Aussie motorsport news, analysis and insight to listeners.

The winner of the Best Podcast Award at the Supercars Media Awards for the last two years, the Castrol Motorsport News Podcast has just been added to the Chartable list of podcasts and rocketed straight to #1 for Apple Podcasts for Sports News in New Zealand, clear of a range of established horse racing, rugby and motorsport podcasts.

It also jumped straight to #5 on Chartable Apple Podcasts in Australia for Sports News podcasts and was the top motorsport podcast on the chart at time of its debut.

According to feed data from podcast host platform Megaphone, the Castrol Motorsport News Podcast has reached 50,397 listeners so far in 2023 with 78,742 downloads of the weekly podcast.

New episodes are regularly published every Tuesday.

The V8 Sleuth Podcast, also produced by the Motorsport Podcast Network and published regularly each week on Wednesdays, is hosted by Aaron Noonan and Will Dale and edited by AJ Hawkins and has also enjoyed a strong start to the 2023 season.

Launched in May 2019, the podcast continues to be a regular in the nationwide, industry-respected Podcast Ranker among the top Australian-made podcasts across all categories produced by powerhouse networks including Southern Cross Austereo, Nine, Nova and SEN.

The V8 Sleuth Podcast has already reached 88,097 listeners this year and had 219,055 downloads, further underlining the network’s lead in the podcast space within the Australian motorsport media landscape.

The Castrol Motorsport News and V8 Sleuth Podcasts have been supported by a range of valued partners and advertisers so far this year including Castrol, Repco, Supercars, the National Motor Racing Museum at Mount Panorama, Sports Entertainment Network, my105, The Final Chapter HSV Official Book and the Victorian Historic Racing Register.
