2020 Bathurst 1000-winning Holden Commodore immortalised

THE 2020 Bathurst 1000-winning Red Bull Holden Racing Commodore ZB that took Shane van Gisbergen and Garth Tander to victory in the ‘Great Race’ is the latest model car announced by Biante Model Cars.

Pre-orders have opened now here via the V8 Sleuth Superstore for fans to secure the 1:18 and 1:43 scale versions of the #97 Commodore.

The winning car carried a special ‘Thanks Holden Fans’ on the side in a one-off tribute livery to mark the final Bathurst in the year that General Motors announced it was killing off the Holden brand.

Van Gisbergen famously completed a victory lap after sealing his first Bathurst win in the car, stopping to collect a Holden flag from fan Dennis King on Conrod Straight.

That year’s race was run with significant COVID-19 restrictions in place, meaning a tiny crowd was trackside to see the 2020 edition of the Bathurst classic.

The #97 Commodore that won the 2020 race went on to win the 2021 and 2022 Supercars Championship in the hands of van Gisbergen and won another Bathurst 1000 last year, also with Tander co-driving.

The 1:18 scale version of the 2020 winning car also includes a replica Peter Brock Trophy, ‘Holden Wins Final Bathurst’ replica poster and replica Holden flag.

This 1:18 model car is a diecast model with opening parts, unlike the 1:18 resin version of the 2020 Bathurst-winning car made and released previously by Classic Carlectables.
