EREBUS Motorsport has an extra 100,000 reasons to perform at this weekend’s Repco Bathurst 1000.
The team’s sponsor Shaw and Partners has pledged up to $100,000 to Erebus charity partner Feel the Magic, pending results over the weekend.
The Shaw and Partners Foundation will donate $25,000 for each Erebus Holden that makes the Top Ten Shootout, with an additional $25,000 per car that finishes the race in the top 10.
Feel the Magic is an Australian non-profit who provide early intervention grief education programs for children aged 7 to 17 who have experienced the loss of a parent, guardian or sibling.
Shaw and Partners Co-Chief Executive Officer Earl Evans, who was instrumental in the foundation’s development, is looking forward to seeing Erebus take on the challenge.
“At Shaw and Partners we are great believers in putting back into the community and we are always looking for opportunities to do so whilst having some fun,” Evans said.
“This is great motivation for the Erebus team, who are already striving for that Top 10 Shootout.
“We are so pleased to partner with both Erebus and Feel the Magic this weekend and look forward to, hopefully, proudly donating to Feel the Magic, who undertake such vital work in our society.”
Erebus enters Bathurst as one of Supercars’ form teams following a pole position and race victory for Will Brown at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Brown shares the #9 Shaw and Partners Commodore with Jack Perkins, while Brodie Kostecki is joined by David Russell in the #99 Boost Mobile entry.
