Brad Jones Racing confirms 2024 Supercars engineers

STABILITY will be integral to Brad Jones Racing’s push to back up its fine 2023 Supercars season.

On top of there being no year-on-year change to the drivers associated with the three BJR-owned Teams Racing Charters, it has been confirmed to V8 Sleuth that each will have continuity with their respective race engineers.

That will see the Andre Heimgartner/Tony Woodward, Bryce Fullwood/Phil Keed and Macauley Jones/Andrew Donnelly combinations remain intact for 2024.

There’s also minimal change for the SCT Logstics entry run out of Albury, despite Jack Smith’s retirement.

In his place will be Jaxon Evans; Julian Stannard will continue as race engineer.

Evans and Stannard already have a headstart on their working relationship from when the Kiwi co-drove with Smith last year at Sandown and Bathurst.

BJR/SCT are yet to announce what number Evans – who is technically a rookie, despite being internally accomplished – will use in 2024.

Smith had raced with #4, but Matt Stone Racing has acquired that number for Cameron Hill this season.

All up, BJR will field six Supercars this year: four Gen3 Camaros in the main game, and two ZB Commodores for Super2 signings Elliott Cleary and Cody Gillis.

BJR finished third in the 2023 teams’ championship – the equal-best result in its history.
